Untitled
Projects, 2008
This piece made using a medieval timber framing technique makes playful reference to minimalist sculptures such as Sol LeWitt’s ‘Incomplete Open Cube’ 1970’s series. A seemly un-connected section of the green oak lying at an angle creates a folly-like contraction between the minimalist form and it’s material.
The sculpture was developed as part of a RMJM art commissioned project in Ruchill park, 2007
